“I feel it’s my strongest that I’ve had so far.”
This is how singer-actor Sam Milby described his new album, ‘Sam 12’ after gracing Home Radio studio for his radio tour yesterday.
In a short interview, he expressed how happy and proud he is to be back in the music scene after 6 years of not doing an album.
“Masarap sa pakiramdam, I missed music and it’s really my first passion, I love singing and playing guitar, it’s nice that after 6 years I’m gonna have a new album.”
Remarkably, ‘Sam 12′ is part of his 12th anniversary celebration in show business after it all started in Pinoy Big Brother house way back in 2005.
He also shared that ‘Sam 12′ in bible is about music and worship that makes it even more meaningful.
Reinventing his song genre, Sam announced that the album will offer upbeat-new feel songs far from the usual rock-ballad tunes he usually sings, just like his carrier single, ‘Who’s That Girl’
He added that he waited for the perfect time to release an album, since last year he was quite busy acting and taping TV dramas.
Asked if he has penned a song included in the album, Sam gamely responded that in creating a music piece he normally writes or co-writes a song or two and this time he helped a bit in writing ‘Game Over’ with singer songwriter Moia dela Torre, whom he considers his younger sister.
Moia is the one behind ‘Malaya’ the official soundtrack of the movie Camp Sawi.
The singer added that ‘Sam 12′ has one cover song and the remaining are all original, expressing at the same time how amazed and thankful he is to have song collaborations with singer KZ Tandingan.
Meanwhile, Sam shared that he will only have a simple celebration for his birthday on May 23, he also happily announced to his fans that he’ll be busy doing two movies this year and will have provincial tours to promote his album.
